“Managers, in their roles as leaders, are faced with organizational decisions that impact policies and procedures every day. Leaders are expected to make decisions that will ultimately impact all levels of the organization and beyond (customers and society in general).” (Eberlin & Tatum, 2008, p. 310)

1. When David was old and full of years, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.
2. He also gathered together all the leaders of Israel, as well as the priests and Levites. 3 The Levites thirty years old or more were counted, and the total number of men was thirty-eight thousand. 4. David said, "Of these, twenty-four thousand are to supervise the work of the temple of the LORD and six thousand are to be officials and judges.5. Four thousand are to be gatekeepers and four thousand are to praise the LORD with the musical instruments I have provided for that purpose."
6 David divided the Levites into groups corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath and Merari.

4. But the LORD said to Gideon, "There are still too many men. Take them down to the water, and I will sift them for you there. If I say, 'This one shall go with you,' he shall go; but if I say, 'This one shall not go with you,' he shall not go."
5. So Gideon took the men down to the water. There the LORD told him, "Separate those who lap the water with their tongues like a dog from those who kneel down to drink." 6. Three hundred men lapped with their hands to their mouths. All the rest got down on their knees to drink.
